Structural concrete in transition - a balancing act between resource efficiency and preservation

After a warm welcome from Rector Jens Schneider and Dean of Studies Rudolf Heuer, he took the audience on an exciting journey through his academic career, practical experience and future research priorities.

The focus was on forward-looking topics such as:

Resource-saving slab systems through digital formwork and reinforcement production
Reinforced 3D-printed concrete - new possibilities for digital fabrication
Prediction models for prestressed concrete bridges to better predict their service life

A big thank you to everyone who attended, for the valuable exchange and inspiring discussions! The research unit is looking forward to the challenges ahead and the collaboration with students, research partners and practitioners.
