A full day (and a week) for research data

The EXPO of the Research Data Cluster on January 16, 2025, transformed the Kuppelsaal into a marketplace for tools and ideas.

With product demonstrations, presentations, a top-class panel discussion, time for exchange, and community meetings on the following day, the EXPO was not only colourful and diversified but also very successful. A total of 14 exhibitors were on site with their products and services, while a further 20 infrastructures, tools, and services were represented with posters. Of the just over 200 visitors, more than a quarter were members of TU Wien.

The Center for RDM was active in the marketplace at stands on DAMAP, InvenioRDM/TU Wien Research Data, and DBRepo. There was a great deal of interest, both from TU Wien researchers and other institutions. The DAMAP tutorial in the afternoon, prepared and conducted by Derek Molnar and the DAMAP team, was also well attended, with a lively exchange and interesting questions during and after the presentation.

Thanks to everyone involved and, of course, to the organisers for a very successful event!

Event note: Love Data Week in February

The international “Love Data Week” is dedicating not just one day but an entire working week to research data. This year, it will take place from February 10 to 14 and focus on the theme “Whose data is it, anyway?”. Various institutions, initiatives, and projects will be offering activities on the topic of RDM during this week, either on-site or online. Further information and an overview of the individual events can, for example, be found on these pages:
