As part of the "Hydro Power" module, an excursion to the Freudenau Power Plant was scheduled for March 17, 2024. Guide Herbert Wagner enthusiastically shared the history of hydropower in Austria. Afterwards, the group visited the model of the Freudenau Power Plant, which was commissioned in 1998. Mr. Wagner's long-standing involvement with the Freudenau Power Plant, dating back to the planning phase, became evident during the tour of the machinery hall in the basement: he expertly answered every question.

The students of the MSc Renewable Energy Systems will meet again in April for a study trip to Hamburg.
