Real estate career after HTL graduation

The TU Wien Academy for Continuing Education was once again a guest at this year's 3rd careers fair at HTL Camillo Sitte (Bautechnikum Wien). The prospective engineers in the field of construction technology received an overview of career opportunities in the real estate sector and the option of studying part-time.

Many prospective construction technicians ask themselves whether they want to go straight into working life after graduating from a HTL or whether they would rather continue their studies. What many don't know is that it doesn't have to be “either-or”.
The Vienna University of Technology offers a part-time degree course in real estate management at its continuing education academy. This 4-semester course offers the professional qualification as a real estate agent, property developer or property manager. The courses take place on average every 2 weeks on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the late afternoon and evening. The maximum class size is 30 people and the material is taught in easily digestible portions and with a lot of practical relevance.
This year's Careers Day at the Bautechnikum once again offered students a wide range of exhibitors from the industry. Large construction companies were represented as well as the public sector and various training providers. The range of expected benefits for the students was correspondingly wide.

Internships, jobs or continuing education - all these areas were covered and the prospective engineers went home with lots of information and the odd promotional goodie.
For TU Wien, it was once again a good opportunity to draw attention to the wide range of courses on offer, as well as to the privately financed part-time continuing education programs. The next round of the university course Real Estate Management starts again this year in October and applications are already open. Our next Info-Session will take place on March 20th 2025 - Registration
