“We are dealing with physics of materials very deep in the ground where our understanding may be very limited.” says Prof. Pall Valdimarsson, one of Iceland’s biggest experts on geothermal utilization and a lecturer in our MSc Renewable Energy Systems, where he teaches “Geothermal Energy, Wind Power & Small Hydro Power”.

In this video interview, Prof. Valdimarsson tells us why many geothermal projects are much more complicated than they seem at first. He also discusses some topics of his lecture, why better heating systems for our buildings are essential to fighting climate change and what China has to do with it.
