On December 6, 2024, the TU Wien Academy for Continuing Education, in cooperation with Energiepark Bruck/Leitha, opens an external URL in a new window, proudly celebrated the graduation of the REN18 cohort (2022–2024) from the MSc Renewable Energy Systems program.

The ceremony at TUtheSky was a morning to remember, with breathtaking views of Vienna, the season’s first snowfall, and a festive string quartet from the TU Wien Orchestra creating a special atmosphere.

More than a celebration, the event was a tribute to the dedication and achievements of our graduates. These exceptional professionals are now officially alumni, ready to lead the charge in shaping a sustainable and innovative energy future.

Special acknowledgments to:

  • ao.Univ.Prof.Dr. Bob Martens, FRICS, Vice Dean of the TU Wien Academy for Continuing Education,
  • Univ.-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.techn. Reinhard Haas, Academic Director of the MSc program,
  • DI Karin Mottl, MMSc, CEO of Energiepark Bruck/Leitha,

for their inspiring speeches.

Mag. Waltraud Schmid from Urban Innovation Vienna, opens an external URL in a new window energized the room with her memorable words: “Pessimists may sound clever, but optimists change the world.” This powerful statement resonated deeply with the audience, encouraging them to pursue innovative solutions for a sustainable future.

The valedictorian speech by Magdalena Neidhart was equally impactful. Reflecting on the cohort’s incredible journey, she highlighted the challenges they overcame together and their shared determination to lead the global energy transformation.

A standout moment was the presentation of the Best Study Award to Herbert Scheiber, recognizing his outstanding performance and commitment to excellence in the program.

We’re immensely proud of each graduate and can’t wait to see the impact they’ll make in the renewable energy sector and beyond.

Let’s celebrate our remarkable alumni:

Are you ready to lead the global energy transition?
