Business Evening "Bosch as a lead user and lead provider of Industry 4.0 solutions"

Business Evening Dr. Fouquet

Since 9 years TU Wien and Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava have been offering an in Europe MBA program for the automotive and component supply industry. The aim of the Professional MBA Automotive Industry Program (http://automotive.tuwien.ac.at, opens an external URL in a new window) is to train current and future top managers of the automotive industries and to prepare them to meet challenges of the global economy. In addition to business topics, the program focuses on production, logistics and Industry 4.0.

The Bosch Group is a global player with more than 400,000 associates and most of all known as the leading supplier of automotive technology and consumer goods like power tools and household appliances. The Bosch Group is also a leading provider of industrial technology – meaning technology for industrial automation and Industry 4.0 applications.

At the Business Evening "Bosch as a lead user and lead provider of Industry 4.0 solutions" on April 19, 2018 at TU Wien Dr. Klaus Peter Fouquet, President of Robert Bosch AG and Representative of Bosch Group in Austria with responsibility for the central and eastern European region explained the Bosch strategy transforming its business.  The transformations take place in all business sectors, that are Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods as well as Energy and Building Technology. Bosch is the leading supplier of micromechanical sensors for the automotive and consumer electronics. Especially in mobility solutions, the automotive technology transforms into the connected mobility. Under the headline Connected Industry the Bosch Group offers a range of smart manufacturing and industrial internet solutions. The tools are backed by the Bosch IoT Cloud and an exclusive cloud technology. With Industry 4.0 concepts the Bosch Group aims to shorten delivery times and product lifecycles and increase productivity in more than 200 manufacturing sites as well as for industrial customers of the Bosch Group. Via successful implementation of Industry 4.0 applications the company expects – for instance in German industry – an added value potential of 80 billion euros and around 400,000 additional work places. At his lecture he mentioned the challenges and chances in Industry 4.0 at Bosch.
