Admission to a consecutive Doctoral Programme

Admission to a consecutive (subject related) doctoral programme can also be done subsequently to obtaining the Master's degree by registering online via TISS, opens an external URL in a new window (field: "DOCTORAL PROGRAMME"). If you already are reported continued for the current semester, it is also possible to enroll beyond the admission period. It is not necessary to personally come into the Admission Office or submit an application for admission for this.
"Subject related" means that for example you completed the Master's programme "Architecture" at TU Wien and now you want to start your doctoral programme in engineering science Architecture.

If you enroll beyond the admission period (summer semester April 1st to beginning of July or winter semester November 1st to beginning of January), the current semester will be the first semester. If you for example enroll on Mai 25th , the summer semester will be your first semester of your master's degree.
