ICSM 2024

[Translate to English:] ICSM2024

In May 2024, the International Conference on Superconductivity and Magnetism (ICSM) unfolded on the Lycian coast in in Fethiye-Ölüdeniz. Against this idyllic backdrop, our group had the privilege of sharing our latest research findings through several presentations, each contributing to the advancement of superconductivity and its applications.

Our talks covered a diverse range of topics, from the role of small defects in commercial coated conductors and their impact on superconducting properties to numerical simulations of the Meissner state in thin films. We also presented our work on high-temperature superconductors for fusion applications, highlighting their potential in future fusion reactors.

These findings not only enhance our understanding of the fundamental mechanisms at play in superconductivity but also offer vital data for the design and planning of next-generation fusion reactors. Presenting these ideas in Fethiye-Ölüdeniz, a region renowned for its stunning natural beauty and rich cultural history, was a truly inspiring experience, reminding us of the seamless connection between science and the environment it thrives in.
