Last semester, the semester project "Reimagining Rural Downtowns - Bruck/Leitha", opens an external URL in a new window dealt with the planning challenges in the city center and the main square of the municipality of Bruck an der Leitha in a practical way. Sustainable concepts and designs were developed to improve the impacts and changes caused by climate change, technological and demographic dynamics (immigration, vacancy, mobility transition) and the quality of life in rural communities.

In the project course, interdisciplinary teams of architecture and spatial planning students worked together to develop urban planning designs and concepts for public space in Bruck/Leitha. The Simlab/Ifoer team (Julia Forster, Isabella Buschmann and Stefan Bindreiter) was supported by Linda Dörrzapf (Move).

The exhibition was opened on June 20th by Mayor Gerhard Weil and can be visited in the town hall until July 8th (Monday-Saturday)!
