Arun Ravi Receives 2nd Recognition Award at the Franz Viehböck Poster Prize

On December 9, 2024, the Franz Viehböck Poster Session took place at the Institute of Applied Physics. With a record-breaking 43 participants, this year's event marked a new milestone.

Arun Ravi was awarded the 2nd Recognition Prize. The awards were presented by Franz and Carina Viehböck, son and granddaughter of the prize’s namesake, during the institute's traditional Christmas celebration.

The Franz Viehböck Poster Prize, established in 2019, is awarded annually and is aimed at master's students and doctoral candidates in the first two years of their PhD. Its goal is to support young researchers by giving them the opportunity to present their work during a poster session. A jury, consisting of representatives from each research group, selects the best posters. The prize is endowed with €1500 for the first place and €500 each for three recognition awards, which are intended to promote the mobility of early-career scientists.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Arun Ravi for this achievement and wish him continued success in his future endeavors!
