On October 19^th, 2012, the postgraduate program General Management MBA started for the 13^th time. This practically oriented program is conducted by Vienna University of Technology in cooperation with Danube University Krems.

The 13 national and international participants graduated predominently in fields of technical and natural sciences or are working in these branches and enhance their careers by attending the General Management MBA program. It is a great pleasure, that five alumni of Vienna University of Technology chose this program for their postgraduate education.

The first and second semester of this 2-year-program are focused on the basics of general management whereas the third semster is held in English and provides them with specialised knowledge of certain topics, e.g. Human Resource Management or Entrepreneurship. Alternatively, there is the possibility to absolve the specialized studies abroad at Baruch College, New York City. In the forth semester the students have to write their Master’s Thesis.

The students of the 13^th class were cordially welcomed by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Aussenegg (Academic Director at Vienna University of Technology), Dr. Anton Zeiner (Program Director at the Danube Business School/DU Krems), Irina Bauchinger, MA, and Mag. Sabine Schnetzinger (Program Managers at the DU CEC/TU Vienna). After shortly introducing themselves the participants took the chance to become familiar with each other at the buffet. Subsequently Dr. Hirt started the first module of „Organization and Leadership“.
