Graduation ceremony on December 2, 2011

Alumni Sustainable Construction

On December 2, 2011 the first graduation of the certified program Sustainable Construction, offered in cooperation with Graz University of Technology, was held at the Vienna University of Technology.

In his welcome address Univ.Prof.Dr. Helmut Rechberger (academic director, TU Vienna) congratulated the participants on their dedication, thanked them for their valuable feedback and invited them to become very active alumni.

Univ.Prof.Dr. Peter Maydl (academic director, TU Graz) stressed the importance of lifelong learning and encouraged the graduates to employ their knowledge to promote sustainability in the construction sector.

The keynote speaker Dr. Bernd Rießland (board member, Sozialbau AG) congratulated the graduates on their achievements and reminded them of their social responsibility. He advised them to see life as an investment and to keep a positive attitude overall.

In the main part of the graduation ceremony the academic directors Univ.Prof.Dr. Helmut Rechberger and Univ.Prof.Dr. Peter Maydl presented the graduates of the program Sustainable Construction class 2010 – 2011 with their certificates.
