Onsite lecture at Volkswagen Slovakia

Volkswagen Slovakia 2015

On 13th of February, 2015 the sixth study group of the prestigious international program "Professional MBA Automotive Industry" visited Volkswagen Slovakia, which is the part of the Europe's largest and the world's second largest car manufacturer in the Volkswagen group. The plant in Bratislava is the only one in the world, which produces five different brands of cars: Volkswagen Touareg, Audi Q7, Volkswagen up!, Å koda Citigo, SEAT Mii as well as the body of the Porsche Cayenne.

At the beginning of the visit the group of participants - from seven different countries including Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Korea, Serbia, Russia and China - had the opportunity to personally meet with the member of the Board for Human Resources, Mr. Eric Reuting, MBA. He presented the main characteristics of the Volkswagen group, major production outputs as well as employee culture and principles of employees training in Volkswagen Slovakia.

Onwards, students visited Body shops of New Small Family (NSF) and Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV), the newly built Press shop and Chassis/Engine assembly. During the tour they were accompanied by the head of each shop who explained them the technical equipment, various operational processes and answered all questions of the participants.

At the end of the visit the Head of the Centre of Dual Education Volkswagen Slovakia informed participants about the spatial, technical equipment and also educational objectives of the centre. Since its opening in September 2013 the future employees have the opportunity to obtain professional qualification here in three further education programs, mechatronics, electrical engineering for automation technology and industrial mechanics. Graduates acquire the German apprenticeship certificate.

The participants and program team would like to thank Volkswagen Slovakia for the excellent organization and efforts.
