Accommodation
Student Residences
TU Wien has no own rooms in student residences at its disposal. There are different non-profit student residence providers in Vienna. The price of a room ranges between ~ € 250,- and € 700,- per month.
Booking a room in a student residence is in your own responsibility. We strongly advise you to book an accommodation before you come to Vienna – the sooner, the better! Please inform yourself how to apply for a room via the webpages of the student residences.

Private accommodation
Prices for private accommodation are usually higher than for rooms in student residences. Additionally, since landlords generally want to get to know tenants personally, you will have to search for a flat after you arrive in Vienna.
It is not recommended to book a private room from your home country without having a look at the room. Be aware of frauds! >> Do not transfer money to a non-Austrian bank account or do not pay by Western Union/Money Transfer. >> Insist on having a look at the room via video call. Because often owners tell you they are abroad or that Airbnb, Booking.com or vrbo are supposedly responsible for viewing and handling the rental > but this is a sign for fraudulent ads!
