It was a joy to have so many curious children at TU Wien Bibliothek. The workshops not only offered educational insights but also provided the opportunity to experience the library as a place of learning and discovery.

The first workshop, "Library 2.0 - From Microfiche to Virtual Reality," gave participants aged 10 to 12 a glimpse into the digital transformation of a research library. The 15m² 3D video wall in the Data Visualisation Space was a highlight for many, and the use of virtual reality headsets made the eyes of young tech enthusiasts light up.

The second workshop, "DIY Leporello - Library Expedition and Craft Workshop," took 7 to 9-year-olds into the mysterious corners of the library. After a treasure hunt in the open access area, the kids explored the fascinating TU Wien Bibliothek basement. Each child then created their own leporello to take home.

The workshops of KinderuniTechnik 2024 left lasting impressions on all participants.
