Attention all postdocs and PhD students at the TCH faculty! We are pleased to announce the launch of a postdoc and PhD pitch competition. This is your chance to present your ground-breaking research and win a travel grant during the PhD/Postdoc Day at TCH Science Days (29th May 2024).
Postdocs Pitch Competition:
Submission Phase: Submit an abstract of your research project (submit on TUWEL). Make sure it’s concise, compelling, and showcases the significance of your work. Also indicate whether you would like to present a poster if you are not selected for the pitch. Submissions will be accepted until 12th April.
Selection process: Our Young Investigator Award (YIA) Committee will carefully evaluate all submissions. From the pool of abstracts, 10 outstanding contributions will be selected for the next round.
Pitch presentation: If your abstract is selected, you will have the opportunity to give a 5-minute engaging presentation about your research.
Prizes: The top three pitches, as determined by the External Advisory Board, will be awarded travel grants to support your academic career:
1st Place: €1000, 2nd Place: €600, and 3rd Place: €400
Poster Session and PhD/master Pitch: “PhD/master Blitz: Selling Your Poster in 2 Minutes”
