About me
I was at TU Graz for my bachelor studies (2015 – 2019), where I was a member of the TU Graz Racing Team. This sparked my interest in numerical methods and lightweight design, which led me to pursue my master’s degree in mechanical engineering at TU Vienna (2020 – 2023). Writing my diploma thesis at Siemens on thermoelastoplastic welding simulations, under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Heinz Petterman, brought me to the Institute of Lightweight Design and Structural Biomechanics, where I have been doing my PhD since 2023 under the supervision of Univ. Prof. Stefanie Elgeti.
Research
My research areas are related to the optimization of mechanical structures: on one hand, the optimization of lattice structures and, on the other hand, the application of machine learning in topology optimization.
