About me
For my bachelor’s degree, I studied Technical Physics at TU Wien, and then continued with a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in Biomedical Signals and Instrumentation. Afterwards, I worked for a medical device manufacturer and at a civil engineering office. But ultimately curiosity got the best of me, and so I started my PhD in 2021.
I am interested in how and why the mechanical properties of collagen fibrils change with disease. To learn more about this, I am conducting tensile tests on single collagen fibrils, using a novel tensile testing device for nano- and microscale fibers, which has been developed in our group recently.
