The “International Vienna Motor Symposium” was founded in 1979 by the full professor of the Institute of Powertrains and Automotive Technology at the Vienna University of Technology, Prof. Hans-Peter Lenz, and has been held once a year since then. Leading scientists and managers from all over the world meet at this top-class event and present the latest results of engine research and development in 42 lectures to more than 1000 participants. There will also be presentations on future legislation, fuels, components, electronics and powertrains. For two days, the congress center in the Vienna Hofburg will be the focus of the interests of the worldwide automotive and engine world. The Symposium is organized by the Austrian Society of Automotive Engineers (ÖVK) together with the Institute of Powertrains and Automotive Technology of the Vienna University of Technology. The event, which is always fully booked, is completed by an accompanying trade exhibition and a rich cultural program.
