The block lecture "Criteria of future automobiles I" by Prof. Hans-Joachim Schöpf will be held from December 4 to 5, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day in seminar room BA10B (BA Hochhaus), Getreidemarkt 9.

Subject of course

Major effects – based on practice – on future cars, mainly by:

  • markets, infrastructure, traffic perspectives, electrification
  • legal frameworks, market trends, customer needs and business rivalry
  • innovation management
  • passive safety technology and ergonomics
  • active safety technology and automated driving

 

Learning outcomes

After successful completion of the course, students are able to:

  • place markets, infrastructure, energy mix, demographics and the effects of published opinion in an overall context for the criteria of future motor vehicles
  • apply legal framework conditions to the conception of vehicles by way of example
  • identify passive and active driving safety as the concept basis for vehicles and place them in a functional and production-related context
  • apply innovation management to practical technology examples
