5G Testbed for 57-65 GHz
Future wireless communication systems will use higher frequency bands to circumvent the spectral shortage at lower frequencies. Our testbed is used to study the propagation conditions in the V-band.

The waveform generator is used either as baseband transmitter in data transmission scenarios or as sounding sequence generator in channel measurements.
The arbitrary waveform generator is capable of directly producing signal with frequency content of up to 32 GHz.
The spectrum analyser can be used as general purpose 2 GHz bandwidth receiver. The IQ analyzer option and a real time oscilloscope are used for this purpose.
The AWG together with our mmW modules and the FSW can be used as testbed for 60 GHz signals of bandwidths of up to 2 GHz.
An omni-directional receive antenna mounted on an x-y table with an additional elevation over azimuth stage. The background shows the 2.5 GHz testbed, useable as baseband (IF) receiver for small bandwidths.
Our fully upgraded positioning table. This five axis mechanical controller allows to fix the phase center of a horn antenna during directional sweeps.
