We announce five open PhD positions within the framework of the doctoral programme “Future Wireless THz Communication Devices and Systems – FutureTHz”, which is funded by the FWF-Austrian Science Fund, to be filled starting September 2025 for the duration of expected four (4) years. The positions are equivalent to a part-time university assistant (30 hours).
The doctoral programme FutureTHz is an interdisciplinary cooperation project between TU Wien (3 positions) and University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria in Hagenberg (2 positions). FutureTHz is focused on investigation of one of the most-promising THz technologies – resonant-tunnelling-diode (RTD) oscillators. We aim to solve several key problems in this field and to make RTD oscillators and their arrays fit for practical THz applications. Each PhD student will be supervised by at least two professors from the relevant disciplines and institutions.
