PhD Student

I am a PhD student in materials science, currently working on hypereutectoid steel. My main focus lies on the characterization and modeling of the microstructure evolution of such steel during heat treatments.

Scientific interests: Hypereutectoid steel and proeutectoid cementite; Kinetic modeling of phase tranformations; Influence of interface morphology on solid-state reactions; Multiscale modeling of mechanical properties

Scientific skills: CALPHAD-based thermodynamic and thermokinetic simulations (MatCalc, Thermo-Calc, Dictra); Multiscale homogenization of elasticity and plasticity; Scanning electron microscopy; EBSD; EDX; High-resolution nanoindentation
