Philipp Preinstorfer
Civil engineer Ph.D., working as a scientific project manager at the Institute of Structural Engineering at the TU Wien, Faculty of Civil Engineering. His research focuses on the implementation of innovative, high-performance materials in concrete construction, with the aim of conserving resources and increasing the sustainability of this sector of the construction industry. His master’s thesis on an innovative new bridge expansion joint for integral bridges was awarded the FCP Innovation Prize for sustainable civil engineering. He is a member of several standardisation organisations and international professional associations, as well as a founding member of the WaLeWi Society, which strives to create more sustainable ways of life and living.
